ABOUT Satendra Singh

I was born as a normal child in a small village of district Bhind (Madhya Pradesh) in 1987. Unfortunately after a fort night of my birth, I suffered from severe diarrhoea and due to improper medical treatment, nerves of both legs contracted and consequently, I developed 60% permanent disability in both the legs. My disability brought a new challenge for my parents besides their struggle for two square meals …

My Achievements

Successfully completed English Channel swimming (2018) as part of 4 member relay team – 1st by an Indian para swimming team


Gold Medalist in International Paralympic swimming held in Australia in 2017


Recipient of Major Dhyanchand Award (2015) –awarded by President, Social Society Udaan, Gwalior in recognition of accomplishment in swimming


Recipient of Vikram Award (2014) –highest sports award from Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh government in recognition of excellence in sports
